Turkey!

I think this would make things a little less complicated.

Today was a wonderful day. Went over to the parent's house and we ate, drank and merry'd the entire day. Completely turkeyed out (too bad there was no turkey head).

Christmas is overrated. And as I get older I find less reasons to celebrate it. Actually, christmas has become an excuse for me to simply overeat, drink, nap and temporarily put problems to one side. The only thing that really gives it meaning are my parents, who put so much effort into the season. My mother with the christmas tree and house decor (let's not forget her wonderful cooking) and my father's reminder of the importance of family and togetherness. Also he makes a bread sauce that is absolutely out of this world. For those few reasons Christmas is still worth celebrating.

Forget the so-called birth of Christ (not actually his birthday) and Santa Claus (look up the history of Coca Cola). Forget for a day that my boyfriend and I nearly got into a car crash between a bus and a 4x4 because not even christmas day is going to make people nice on the roads. I dedicate this season to my mom and dad. They make me want to continue celebrating christmas.
