I never really knew Karl Roy. Hung out with him a couple of times. The first and last time I had ever seen him perform was probably back in 2009 (I think). At that point in his career his voice had weakened but that night the crowd's energy was all on Karl as if grabbing on to every word he sung even though his voice came close to a whisper.
I took these shots on my birthday 2 years ago. Today we say goodbye to a Pinoy rock legend. Rest in peace, Karl Roy. Thank you for your music.
